Rafiqul Islam, Sherpur: A herd of wild elephants killed one at frontier Gandigong village in Jhenaigati upazila of Sherpur district on Friday at about 07.30 pm.
The deceased was identified as Chanrda Shikhor Coach(35) son of Bitim Bihari Coach at Gandigong in Jhenaigati upazila of Sherpur district.
Witnessed said a herd of wild elephant came down at locality of frontier Gandigong village in search of food. The wild elephants entered into Chandra Shikhor’s paddy field to eat paddy. Chandra Shikhor wanted to chase the elephants and he was squeezed by one of the elephants. People hurriedly took him to Jhenaigati upazila health complex and doctor on duty declared him death.
